Our Story

The name PHOENIX has always been more than just a name to us. The story of a unique bird that rose from the ashes with renewed strength to live through a new cycle, strongly resonates with our own journey.

Our farms across Namibia, under the collective names of

• • Phoenix Farming (cattle) and
• • Phoenix Kalahari Farming (sheep), together with
• • our butchery, The Hoof & Feather, are the pillars of our business.

Our farms are family-owned businesses with a passion for farming, refining sustainable farming practices, and being good custodians of the land. The Hoof & Feather has one devotion: to bring our farms’ finest free-range meats and value-added products directly to you, our customers. As time passed, we partnered with local pork and chicken farmers, as well as with professional hunters of game to give you a wider selection of your favourite meats. Our core principles for our partners remain the same as for our own farms: free range or vegetarian-fed, hormone free and no anti-biotics. We are constantly improving and innovating our selection of products.

We have launched a range of convenient Easy Meals prepared with fresh ingredients and following our own recipes. Our meals are pre-packed and frozen, ready to store in your freezer until you need them. We are grateful for how far we have come. We have a passion for family, people, farming and meat and we continue to strive towards not being the biggest but being the best.
